Summer vacation
has started, but I hope you drop by every once in a while this summer to check in on
www.EskrimaSpace.com.
Those of you traveling this summer may get a chance to meet other
Filipino Martial Artists from this list. Remember that registered users may note their location and promote their
martial arts group on their member profile. If I were traveling this summer, I’d check out some of the
FMA groups registered on this site and contact them about dropping
in to say hello.
Once while I was traveling in Tennessee on business, I was able to look up a
Filipino Martial Arts group in the city I was visiting. I called them to see if I could come by and check out their
escrima class. They welcomed me into their workout and actually asked me to teach the class for the evening. The class hadn’t had very many people visit and wanted to checkout the Defensor
Method style of Filipino Martial Arts. (Talk about humble!) How many people welcome a stranger to teach their class to check out something different? Turned out to be a great group with a very open mind to learning
Filipino Martial Arts.
